Computer Science Course teaches a wide variety of cutting-edge technologies, such as theories of information and communications, theory of computation, design of logic circuits, design and analysis of computational algorithms, architectural principles and techniques for computer hardware and software, computer processing of natural language and audio/image information, artificial intelligence and knowledge engineering, computer networks, information systems and their implementation, and media processing and its applications, for turning out engineers and researchers who will play major roles in the information society.

History

The School of Informatics and Mathematical Science Course Program of Computer Science was established in 1970 as the School of Computer Science.

Laboratories and Faculty

The School of Informatics and Mathematical Science Course Program of Computer Science is carried out by faculty members of the Graduate School of Informatics, Kyoto University.
