Undergraduate Course Program of Applied Mathematics and Physics

In the Applied Mathematics and Physics Course in the School of Informatics and Mathematical Science, Faculty of Engineering of Kyoto University, we conduct education and research on a broad range of state-of-the-art Applied Mathematics and Physics, including optimization, control, information, algorithms, discrete mathematics, numerical simulation, and artificial intelligence, with an aim to train researchers and engineers who can provide methods to solve various scientific and engineering problems based on advanced mathematics and physics.

When the School of Informatics and Mathematical Science was established through consolidation between the Department of Applied Mathematics and Physics and the Department of Information Science in 1995, the former department became the Applied Mathematics and Physics Course of the School of Informatics and Mathematical Science.
